Husband and wife team Faye and David Penfold, experienced event caterers from The Occasional Kitchen make up the core team behind Always.Cooking
David Penfold is an experienced and accomplished primary school teacher, who, after reaching the semi finales of Masterchef 2014, embarked on a career in catering.
Faye Penfold is an experienced writer and publisher. She is an obsessive grower, lover of heritage seeds and champion of sustainable food sourcing.
David had always been acutely aware that the school dinner provision was underwhelming at best, under nourishing at worst. It has always been David and Faye’s vision to do something completely different for school food. Having started in Wiltshire providing meals for HAF projects, they now turn their attention in trying to revolutionise how food is grown, cultivated and prepared, for children across the country.
Things need to change, now is the time.

Faye loves, in no particular order; food, writing, planning, poetry, hot summer evenings chatting in the garden as the sun goes down, music, belly laughs, heavy rain and dancing.
DAVE PENFOLD -EXECUTIVE CHEF
Dave loves, in no particular order; cooking, climbing, reading books about the sea, classical music, short animation, the hot, hot sunshine and West Indian carnivals.
